I used to be when I was young and that was a loooong time ago. So let's put it this way-I'm 5'1 and 163 lbs and very out of shape! I WANT to run a 5k in April-just want to jog/run the entire time, not worried about time. I started the Sparkpeople 8 week training program for beginners yesterday. Their plan has you jog 1 minute, walk 4, repeat then the 2nd week you increase the jogging time. This is 3 days each week and also crosstrain on off days-like walking, bicycle, etc.

Do you think this is possible? My husband is laughing at me saying I won't be able to run a 5k (which of course makes me WANT to do it EVEN more). :) How did you get started?

Thanks,
Shannon
http://6thgradescottforesmanreadingstreetresources.wordpress.com/
http://extremereadingandwriting.wordpress.com/Shannonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13149662695273911122noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4537450442045228322.post-83669523450405851242011-12-31T16:41:38.283-06:002011-12-31T16:41:38.283-06:00Happy New Year!
