In fourth grade, we read Ronald Dahl's "The Witches", "The Mouse and the Motorcycle" by Beverly Cleary and "Tales of Fourth Grade Nothing" by Jude Blume. In fifth grade, we read "The Mixed Up Files of Basil E. Frankweiler" by E.L. Konigsberg.<br /><br />I remember looking forward to those reading sessions more than anything else during the entire school day. I wound up reading more things by Cleary and Blume on my own after being exposed to them. Good times! :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
