It's been quite the year. Wishing you a safe and happy new year's eve, whether you're going out on the town or curling up on the couch with a movie and a friend like me, and a blessed start to 2012!
Happy New Year! TV watching, reading, blogging-the usual!
I wanted to run this by you since you are a runner. I am not. I used to be when I was young and that was a loooong time ago. So let's put it this way-I'm 5'1 and 163 lbs and very out of shape! I WANT to run a 5k in April-just want to jog/run the entire time, not worried about time. I started the Sparkpeople 8 week training program for beginners yesterday. Their plan has you jog 1 minute, walk 4, repeat then the 2nd week you increase the jogging time. This is 3 days each week and also crosstrain on off days-like walking, bicycle, etc.
Do you think this is possible? My husband is laughing at me saying I won't be able to run a 5k (which of course makes me WANT to do it EVEN more). :) How did you get started?
Happy New Year! Champagne and the couch here!
