Take a deep breath.

The past two days at school have kinda sucked.  Let's just say the pressure is on like whoa to get our kiddos ready for state testing, and I've basically been feeling like I'm carrying the weight of the world on my shoulders these days.  I'll get into the gritty details another time, but to make a long story short after school today I was kind of losing it...so I'm making my mission tonight to relax, get some rest, and go to school calm and energized tomorrow--just in time for a marathon afternoon/evening of parent conferences.

Of course a truly relaxing evening involves my favorite things...
Way more chocolate than pictured here...
Mani/pedi followed immediately by a glass of wine :)

And last but not least, before I curl up on my couch in the fetal position watching Glee, a reminder courtesy of Pinterest...
Yes.

  1. Sounds like a lovely evening ... didn't watch Glee last night, but it's on the PVR, and I'm hoping to fit it in tonight. Our provincial testing isn't until the end of the year (the first week of June), but I'm already feeling the pressure. I'm kinda freaking out over every assembly, special day, interruption, etc. because it's taking too much time away from things I NEED to teach.

    1. Part of me is super jealous that your testing is so late, but then again I just can't wait until it's OVER and I can teach without being on the verge of an anxiety attack!!

  2. Amy I have so many diagnostic tests piled up on my desk!! ugg.. We take the ELA and Math in April but we have so many other tests to do right now!!! YOGA deff needed! lol
I saw a really cute dvd on scholastic book clubs and an adorable yoga abc book- I bought both :)
In my classroom I did yoga when we were writing persuasive letters, I had the kids convince the principal to do a yoga workshop for the teachers & students, (she did) and they loved it.. I made them research the benefits and then we just learned a few poses during gym!
